1 Hour Skills Test
Location – Liskeard, Cornwall
Timescale – 10 days Simulator
Cost - £350 + VAT per hour
Helicopter Cost – From £1200 + VAT per hour
Estimated course cost = £10,800 + VAT
The aim of the course is to provide an Agusta 109 type rating for those
pilots who do not hold any other Multi Engine Type Ratings.

The course starts with 1 hour in the simulator at Cardiff Heliport
running through the checklists and engine start procedures. The flying
and technical ground school element of the course is undertaken by
Castle Air in Cornwall, who are one of the leading Agusta 109 Operators
and Trainers in Europe.
Castle Air are ideally placed to undertake the ground school

Instruction as they always have
a number of 109’s and 109 parts in maintenance for the students to view.
The flying is undertaken around the beautiful Cornish coast and the
skills test is taken with an in-house Examiner.
Prior to commencing the Type Rating, students need to ensure that they
meet the course requirements.
