The aim of the course is to cover those
requirements not in a FAA IR
course that will enable the holder to obtain a JAA Instrument Rating.
The times suggested in the course summary, are the minimums stipulated
by the CAA.
As well as undertaking 10 hours simulator
flying and 5
hours in the helicopter plus your test, the FAA to JAA IR(H) course
also has a number of ground school refresher lessons.

- European IFR Rules
Simulator flying takes place on either an Agusta 109 (GAS78) or
Eurocopter AS350/355 (COT96) – both are FNPT II.
Prior to commencing the course, the student needs to have a FAA IR (H)
and also ensure that they meet the minimum course requirements.
