Aviation Pacific and Kingfisher sign up to offer the JAA ATP ground
theory course in India
For
the first time in India, the JAA ground theory examinations for the
Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) and the European Airlines Safety
Association (EASA) Part 66 will be conducted in Mumbai and Delhi by the UK
Civil Aviation Authority (CAA). This makes India the first country outside
Europe and the USA to conduct this examination.
This is a unique opportunity for pilots to take their professional
qualifications to a other level and acquire a JAA qualification without
leaving the country.
Kingfisher Training College though a technical arrangement with
Aviation Pacific Europe, is now offering this training program right here
in Mumbai, India. Here are some of the salient features of this course:
- The JAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) ground theory
course will be conducted at Kingfisher Training College, Mumbai
- The examinations for the course will be conducted by
the British Council on behalf of the UK Civil Aviation Authorities( CAA)
in Mumbai and Delhi
- Examinations in Mumbai will be for the JAA Flight
Crew Licenses (FCL -1)
- The training will be conducted at Kingfisher’s
advanced classroom training environment which has been technically
designed and approved by Airbus Industries.
- This course is also available through distance
learning with a short classroom training before the examinations.
- JAA certified/approved instructors will conduct this
program
- The training program is powered by Cranfield Aviation
Training, UK and has the required approval of the UK Civil Aviation
Authority (CAA)
This course will be offered to pilots in India, Sri
Lanka, Malaysia, Singapore, and other Asian regions.
This ground theory course is also available through
distance learning. This provides a unique flexibility for those
professional who would not be able to attend the instructor guided
training program at the Kingfisher Training College. However, they would
have to attend the mandatory one week classroom brush-up course before the
examinations.
Examinations
will initially be conducted every 3 months based on the scheduled
published on the
CAA international website. Subsequently, these examinations may be
held more frequently, based on the requirements at that time.
